Hands on support

Step 1 - Begin with a complimentary, no obligation consultation

In our initial conversation, we invite you to share your child's story so far, what is not working right now and why you are considering a change. We will explore your hopes and goals, practical constraints, your child's strengths, needs and personality and any worries you have about your journey. This helps us to understand what your vision looks like and whether we are the right partners to help you move towards it. For families from abroad this also includes practical considerations such as your right to live in the UK, visa-related timelines and your child's level of English so we can plan for support if required.

Step 2 - The Questionnaire

Once we agree to work together, we will ask you to complete our family and pupil questionnaire. Part of this will be a short data-protection and confidentiality statement which we will ask you to sign in line with data protection requirements, so that you are aware of exactly how your data will be stored and used.

In most cases we complete the questionnaire together either online or in person. This is an important part of the process, it allows us to ask thoughtful follow up questions, clarify details and gain a deeper sense of your child, family and your priorities. you are welcome to complete it on your own, either way, it forms the foundation of all the work we will do together.

Step 3 - The Tailored Report

Using your questionnaire and our conversations, we prepare a tailored report for your child and your family. This might include, a range of shortlisted schools in a new area, a mix of state and independent options and schools with strong and credible neurodiversity and SEND support - or any other specification that reflects your priorities.

This report sets out suggested schools, our professional advice and clear pros and cons at the level of detail you have requested : this scope will determine the overall fee.

Throughout the drafting process we remain in close contact, so you know how the work is progressing. Once our report is ready, we arrange a meeting to walk you through it, explaining our thinking and reasons behind each recommendation.

Step 4 - Hands on support

Should you wish to continue with our services, we offer hand on support with :

  • Arranging school visits and meetings
  • Preparing you and your child for interviews and admissions tests
  • Guiding you through forms, deadlines and decisions

We stay alongside you for as much of the journey as you need - right up to placement and if desired, the initial settling in period.

Natalie took the burden of finding a place for my neurodiverse son from me. She ensured we met the right people at the right schools. We now have the support we need and a network we would not have found alone. As Kuzey's mother I recommend Natalie with deep respect and gratitude.

Entering the education landscape today ...

The world that your children are entering - educationally speaking - is one in significant transition. Understanding the forces currently reshaping the system is not background noise - it is directly relevant to the decisions you are making today.

At the same time, this period of change also brings new possibilities, more diverse school models, richer pathways and a greater focus on the individual.

With the right guidance you can turn this complexity into an opportunity to shape an education that truly fits the person that your child is becoming

Engagements are tailored to the family. The scope can encompass all of the above, initial consultation, school shortlisting, visits attended together or on the family's behalf, interview preparation for parents and child(ren), application drafting and ongoing support through to the place being secured - or we can focus on one or two areas where specific help is needed. the remit is agreed at the outset and adjusted as the process unfolds.

The earlier the better, but it is rarely too late. Families come to us across the full cycle - at the planning stage, mid application, in the weeks before an offer must be accepted or declined or after a placement has not worked out. We do not promise a particular outcome, no responsible advisor can. What we can offer is a clear understanding and a route through, worked out alongside your family rather than imposed on you.

Yes, That is the substance of the work. An advisor who only confirms a family's preferences offers reassurance, not advice. Where our professional view diverges from from the family's preferred direction, that view is given clearly and reasoned through. The family decides; our role is to ensure the decision is informed.

The practice does not provide tutoring or exam coaching and receives no fee , commission or other benefit from referrals from those who do. Where tutoring is genuinely needed, the practice can suggest reputable providers based on the child's specific requirements. This is a contact between the family and the provider independent to the practice and the practice derives no financial benefit.
